Kwamena Mensah
is the President of the Board of Directors of DBCFSN. He has extensive legislative and policy experience in municipal
government. He worked for four years at the Detroit City Council and was a member of the Detroit
City Council's "Green Task force". He is one of the founding
members of DBCFSN and worked on the formation of the Detroit Food Policy Document and the Detroit Food
Policy Council. He was a guest lecturer at two universities on urban agriculture in Michigan
and has represented DBCFSN in numerous conferences throughout the United States and in Europe. He is a member of
the Michigan Food Policy Council.

| Aba Ifeoma |
|
Aba Ifeoma is a founding member of
The Detroit Black Community Food Security Network (DBCFSN), and currently the board of director’s treasurer for DBCFSN.
Active in the urban beekeeping community, and the lead beekeeper at D-Town Farm, a project of DBCFSN. Political
activist for 17 years. Served on the Board of directors of Nsoroma Institute Public School Academy, an African Centered school
located in Detroit for 10 years. Employed as a LAN Administrator for the local utility company in Detroit,
she is the proud mother of two college students.
